  • Overview

    Halifax Health is seeking a Staff Auditor for the Internal Audit Services Department.


    The Staff Auditor will be responsible for performing internal audits and special projects, preparing appropriate workpaper documentation supporting the audit work performed, preparing verbal and written communication to management on the results of audits/projects completed.

    Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required in appropriate field.

    • Healthcare and/or auditing experience preferred.

    • Must obtain professional certification (CIA, CHIAP, CPA).

    • Ability to work with audit team to perform audits.

    • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

    • Ability to build working relationships with Team Members.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ability to perform audits in accordance with procedures.  
    • Ability to prepare clear and concise audit reports.  
    • Demonstrates documentation skills that support audit work.
    • Conducts effective follow-up on agreed upon action plans.
    • Maintains a professional image and ethical behavior.
    • Performs special projects and other tasks as requested.
