  • Overview

    Halifax Health is seeking an SPD Technician for the Supply Processing & Distribution Department.


    This individual ensures delivery of supplies and equipment to departments in a timely, organized manner. 

    Job Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
    • SPD/CSR experience preferred
    • Must have basic typing, computer and data entry skills
    • Knowledge of medical supplies and medical terminology is helpful
    • Good oral and written communication skills

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Orders items promptly to maintain stock in central inventory stock room
    • Places inventory items in the proper location, rotating stock and removing outdated products
    • Labels and restocks patient charge items appropriately
    • Maintains a neat and clean store room
    • Follows PAR level system to ensure accuracy and inventory control
    • Delivers supplies and/or equipment to departments using appropriate prioritization
    • Assists with receiving and distributing incoming freight
    • Maintains the computer inventory system in a timely and accurate manner
