  • Overview

    Halifax Health is seeking an Environmental Services Team Leader for the Environmental Services Department.


    This individual supervises and assists the activities of Environmental Aides, Environmental Technicians, Floor Care Technicians and Specialists I & II in providing a clean and safe environment for the patients, visitors, and Team Members.

    Job Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervises Aides, Techs, Floor Care Techs, and Specialists I & II in the functions of Area cleaning, trash removal, and project work. 
    • Make a minimum of two daily rounds to inspect and spot check performance of subordinates.
    • Assigns and schedules work of subordinates, trains and instructs in work methods, participates in evaluating work performance, recommends disciplinary action, recommends termination of Team Members.
    • Distributes equipment and supplies and monitors daily.
    • Provides in-service training on department orientation, all cleaning procedures, all safety procedures, department policies, procedures, and/or equipment.
    • Maintains meaningful, timely communication with department supervisors and office coordinator about concerns.
    • Maintains and performs Quality Control (Q.C.) inspections on each employee area daily with data collector (MEQ). 
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by department supervisor.
    • Knowledge and understanding of department computer.
    • Bi-weekly employee meeting.
