  • Overview

    Halifax Health is seeking a Special Procedure Technician for the Environmental Services Department.


    The Special Procedure Tech assists in providing a clean, sanitary and safe environment for the comfort of patient's, employees and visitors.


    Job Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
    • Minimum of six months of training and/or consistent, proven cleaning experience.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Performs tasks such as checkout cleaning, area cleaning, floor care cleaning, policing assigned areas, and special projects.
    • Removes trash from assigned work areas.
    • Dust mops, damp mops, and maintain tile floors daily.
    • Vacuums, damp mops, spots and maintains carpeted floors daily.
    • Performs weekly cleaning in assigned areas such as high and low dusting, window washing and detail cleaning.
    • Performs heavy tasks, occasionally moving of furniture and equipment.
    • Cleans and sanitizes trash cans, wheelchairs, stretchers and other rolling stock daily.
    • Cleans and maintains daily assigned equipment.
    • Areas will be inspected and rated for Quality Control.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
