Summary

The Assistant Director plays a pivotal role in managing administrative functions at the UF Neurosciences Center at Halifax Medical Center, a collaborative initiative with UF Health Physicians. This position oversees various subspecialties within the Neurosciences Center, encompassing Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Anesthesia Pain Management, and provides general direction, coordination and supervision of all aspects of the operational and front-end financial operations of the Center. Directly manages all clinic non-provider staff. Must market clinic services and network with local providers and referral sources to assist in facilitating practice growth. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic clinical environment. The Assistant Director will contribute significantly to the operational efficiency and success of the Neurosciences Center at Halifax Medical Center. Because of the nature of the Centers role at Halifax, must collaborate operationally and strategically with Halifax Medical Center leadership.

Job Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business or a health-related field required. Minimum of four years previous supervisory/management experience required. Five years of experience managing a medical practice and an associates degree may substitute for the bachelors degree requirement. Knowledge of Epic software system preferred. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required):: Employees in this position: Will no operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
