Halifax Health is seeking a Psychosocial Program Coordinator (Social Worker) for Oncology Services.
The Oncology psychosocial coordinator (social worker) is a designated member of the oncology team with the primary responsibility of coordinating the psychosocial needs of medical and radiation oncology patients and families. This position requires one to work with patients and families in a compassionate, culturally competent, and tactful manner in order to facilitate access and provide continuity of care. Works collaboratively with the service line administrator, managers, physicians and clinicians to improve outcomes for patients in our community.
Completed a course of study with specialization in clinical practices and holds a Master’s Degree from a graduate school of social work or mental health counseling; with a LCSW or LMHC license.
Required 5 years of experience in social work, preferred work in an oncology related field.
