Halifax Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant (MA) for the Radiology - Ultrasound Department.
The Assistant is a non-professional health care employee, functioning under the direct supervision of a Registered Technologist. This position serves as a Radiology Department liaison to assure prompt professional service.
Formal Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Graduate of an approved school or institution for Medical Assistants preferred.
Certification/Licensure: BLS/CPR for health care provider in adult, child, and pediatrics. Must hold CNA, CMA, RMA, or EMT certification.
Related Experience: Medical terminology college level course, basic anatomy and physiology college level course, computer literacy, general knowledge of various Radiology procedures and preps, aseptic/isolation techniques, and other health care related courses.
