Overview

Halifax Health is seeking a Transporter for Pediatric Emergency Department.

Summary

Transports inpatients in compliance to JCAHO, HIPAA and OSHA standards.  Adheres to medical center and departmental policies.  Utilizes computer skills to generate transport slips for inpatients. 

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous health care experience preferred.
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Professional communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to handle fast paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor at all times. 
  • Organizational skills to prioritize tasks. 
  • Must be skilled in providing care for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and multi-cultural and geriatric patients adhering to HIPAA standards and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
