Overview

Halifax Health is seeking an Evidenced Based Program Therapist for our Halifax Behavioral Services Department.

Summary

The Evidenced Based Program (EBP) Therapist is responsible for providing in-home Evidenced Based Practices to adolescents 12-17 years of age and their families. This includes but is not limited to conducting assessments, implementation of treatment plans; and general clinical documentation according to required standards. The program will utilize a strength-based approach, which provides the foundation for all interventions utilized by the therapist. The EBP therapist will engage families and other key participants in active change-orientated treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement. This includes working in collaboration with families to explore their culture, beliefs and values and look together to identify strengths, as well as family needs.

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy; and Registered Intern status with the State of Florida is also required. Licensed preferred.

  • A minimum of two years’ of related experience preferred.

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy; and Registered Intern status with the State of Florida is also required. License preferred

  • Has training in one of the mental health professions and experience to assess, plan, develop, and coordinate services within a treatment plan and support services to program clients with severe and persistent mental illness.

  • Has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and their and families and community supports utilizing Evidenced Based Practices.

  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work independently

  • Must have valid Florida driver’s license, good driving record and must be willing to travel throughout Volusia County.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates in all Evidenced Based Practice trainings, supervision and consultation activities.  
  • Complete all necessary intake paperwork, including psychosocial assessments, and initial treatment plans (if applicable).
  • Provide Evidenced Based Practices in individual, group or family therapeutic activities.
  • Prepare accurate clinical and documentation and meet all required standards in quality, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with referral sources and/or other community providers.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge or directories of community resources.
  • Maintain all necessary training/CEU obligations keep up-to-date with best practices of therapeutic interventions
  • Comply with all relevant ethical codes/standards of conduct.
  • Performs on-call duty for crisis intervention nights and weekends; available for consultation as necessary.
  • Perform other related job duties and assignments as required.
  • Adhere to the company's policies and procedures, safety guidelines, business ethics and presents a professional image and behavior at all times.
