Halifax Health is seeking an Equipment Technician for the Supply Chain Operations Department.
The Equipment Technician is responsible for total support of durable medical equipment (IV/PCA pumps, wound vac units, carts, etc.): maintains accurate inventory of own/rental equipment and monitors its usage, closely cooperates with equipment vendors, budgets and offers insight to reduce rental expenditures, and develops strategy to manage equipment more efficiently and accurately.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent (strong math and problem-solving skills)
Advanced computer skills (MS Office, MMIS, and other related software applications)
Previous experience in inventory control (healthcare preferred)
Proficient oral/written communication skills and customer service
Strong analytical and organizational skills (excellent attention to details)
Ability to work independently with little supervision (decision making, work prioritizing)
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule (on-call) to accommodate unplanned events
Solve immediate problems and proactively works to prevent re-occurrence
Valid Florida driver’s license and have a good driving record
