Overview

Halifax Health is seeking an Echo/Cardiac Sonographer for the Cardiac Services Department.

Summary

This individual will perform adult and pediatric echocardiography procedures. Job responsibilities also include performing and analyzing cardiac ultrasound tests: TTE's (on pediatrics and adults) and adult Transesophageals on patients in all areas of the hospital. This position includes a rotation of call, weekends and holidays. Echo staff must respond to emergent/on-call studies within 45 minutes. 

Job Qualifications

  • Two-year, Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology 
  • Previous one year experience in non-invasive cardiac ultrasound techniques
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or CCI registered or eligible
