Overview

Halifax Health is seeking a Neuro-Diagnostic Technician for the Neurodiagnostic Department.

Summary

Performs EEG's on newborn, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients in all area of hospitals inculding Daytona Beach, Port Orange and Deltona. Supervise and train assigned personnel. Maintain equipment, patient records and supplies.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year certificate EEG course at Career College or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Must be customer-service oriented and able to effectively communicate and build relationships with co-workers and key stakeholders at all levels in the organization. 
  • Professionalism in interpersonal verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, physicians and ancillary department personnel is required

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Performs EEG’s for diagnostic use by physicians.
  2. Maintains equipment and supplies.
  3. Maintain proper patient records on all procedures including charges and logs.
  4. Consults with and assists physicians in interpretation of tests.
  5. Accept on-call responsibility
  6. Perform other related duties as assigned.
